Description: Perfectly preserved echinoderm; every detail is visible thanks to meticulous sandblasting. 100% natural, unrestored.
This exceptional fossil echinoderm, identified as Asteroidea indet. (sea starfish), comes from the renowned El Kaid Errami quarry in Morocco, recognized for the extraordinary preservation of its Ordovician marine fauna. Unlike the usual preparation of this type of fossil, this specimen has been carefully cleaned using precision sandblasting, a rare technique that removes the matrix rock while preserving an exceptional level of detail in its delicate structure. Thanks to this, the morphology of these echinoderms, organisms that inhabited the seas more than 440 million years ago, can be appreciated with great clarity.
